For the 13th year, The Audubon Zoo is preparing to host Soul Fest, an annual two-day African-American cultural celebration.
The event is scheduled to take place on Saturday and Sunday, March 5 & 6, 2016. Headlining this year is celebrated New Orleans trombonist, band leader, and vocalist Glen David Andrews. On Sunday, March 6, Andrews will close out the weekend celebration at the Capital One Pavilion with one of his trademark performances of gospel, jazz, blues, and brass band music.
Thousands are expected to attend one of the largest celebrations of African-American culture in New Orleans. Guests will enjoy performances by HiLyfe, the Gospel Soul Children, Anjelika Joseph, Mike “Soulman” Baptiste, LACEE and other jazz, rhythm & blues and gospel artists.
Along with an impressive lineup of musical guests, local restaurants and caterers will be at the event serving up favorites.
Soul Fest is included with your regular zoo admission. To learn more about the event details and the many activities planned for the weekend, click here!
