Mystic Aquarium Has Your Winter Weekends Covered

Redefine winter blues this year with an exciting activities lineup at Mystic Aquarium and Institute for Exploration.

Mystic Aquarium

Every Sunday in January starting on the 10th, join Mystic Aquarium for Trainer Days.  Get to know some of the extraordinary people who care for beluga whales, penguins, sea lions and more every day.  Between 10:00 a.m. and 2:30 p.m., meet a different trainer every half hour.  This will take place on the main floor, in front of the underwater viewing windows of the Foxwoods Marine Theater.

During this time, you’ll learn about what each trainer’s daily schedule looks like, from food prep to animal enrichment activities.  Find out what it really takes to be an animal trainer through Mystic Aquarium’s dedicated staff.

Mystic Aquarium

It may be cold outside, but there’s plenty of room to play at the aquarium.  Every Saturday in January starting on the 9th, Mystic Aquarium introduces the all new Family Game Days.  Compete your way through your favorite exhibits with family and friends with supersized games.

“Turn yourself into a human pretzel during a round of Get Knotted and watch out for tumbling blocks when playing Giant Tower. Try to get one, two, three, Four in a Row before your opponent or construct your own aquarium out of huge building blocks. We even have jumbo Snakes & Ladders for the younger Aquarium guests to join in the fun.”

These experiences are included with your regular admission or membership.
