SeaWorld Parks Prepare For Wild Days

Year after year, SeaWorld never disappoints with their events lineup.  Even better, all events are included with your regular admission or annual pass.

Wild Days is one of many events that is celebrated at all three SeaWorld parks. Wild Days consistently draws big crowds, even before the doors open.  Wild Days features well known and respected professionals in the zoological field.  It is a time where learning meets laughter and this is an event to be enjoyed by guests of all ages.

This year, Wild Days is presented by Coca-Cola.  This annual event allows guests to connect with the natural world in fun and interactive ways.  Wild Days has returned as a major event at SeaWorld year after year. The guests and shows vary at each parkIt showcases why zoos and aquariums are important, what professionals are doing to help protect animals, and even ways that you can help protect our natural world and the animals that live in it.

SeaWorld Orlando will host Wild Days on weekends in January. (January 16-17, 23-24, 30-31.)

SeaWorld San Antonio: Weekends in February. (February 6-7, 13-15, 20-21, 27-28.)

SeaWorld San Diego: Weekends in March. (March 5-6, 12-13, 19-20, 26-27.)

Jack Hanna is the Director Emeritus of the Columbus Zoo and Aquarium. As a world-renowned animal expert, he has made countless media appearances to promote education and conservation awareness.  Armed with animal facts and a plethora of personal stories, Jack Hanna will have you learning and laughing throughout the show.  During Wild Weekends with Jack Hanna, guests may have the opportunity to make reservations for special experiences such as breakfast or dinner with Jack Hanna himself. Jack Hanna will be at all three SeaWorld parks.

During Penguin Lovers Weekends, a popular Wild Days weekend event, Julie Scardina will share her stories along with SeaWorld’s commitment to wildlife conservation.  Julie is SeaWorld’s Animal Ambassador and she conveys the commitment that SeaWorld has for all of the animals in their care.  This weekend will have a special focus on penguins.  There may even be an opportunity to meet a penguin or two. Julie will be at Orlando and San Diego SeaWorld Parks.

Sea Rescue Weekend is back again this year.  This weekend focuses on the rescue and rehabilitation of wildlife.  It celebrates the 27,000 animals that SeaWorld has rescued over the last 50 years and discusses what you can do to help to protect the environment.  You will hear firsthand accounts of marine mammal rescues that appeared on the Emmy nominated show Sea Rescue directly from members of SeaWorld’s animal rescue team at SeaWorld Orlando and SeaWorld San Diego.

Some SeaWorld Parks will have additional unique shows. SeaWorld Antonio will be hosting SeaWorld Live! with Chuck Cureau, SeaWorld San Antonio’s own animal expert who will share stories of rescue, rehabilitation, an conservation as well as introduce you to some fascinating animals. They will also be hosting Amazing animals where you will join a quest to learn about some amazon animals of various species. Another unique show is set to return to San Antonio. Flying High is a live show that introduces guest to some feathered friends from the Last Chance Forever organization. This organization is dedicated to the rehabilitation and release of orphaned, injured, and sick birds of prey.

SeaWorld San Diego will be hosting Wildlife Docs weekends.  You will hear behind-the-scene stories form a panel of veterinarians and animal experts that work to care for a variety of animals.  These professionals have appeared on the TV series, The Wildlife Docs.  You will learn how advanced medical procedures help to provide top notch care for zoological animals and how you can do your part to protect the environment and the animals we all love.

In SeaWorld Orlando, there is even a new killer whale presentation called Ocean Discovery where guests can learn more about orcas and other whale species.  This educational presentation will include facts on animal adaptations, habitats, and behavior.  This special presentation is in addition to the “One Ocean” show so check the schedule on the park maps during these weekends.  Ocean Discovery is a killer whale presentation you won’t want to miss.

During the Wild Days event, there will be an opportunities to hear even more stories about SeaWorld’s animals, animal care, training, and other rescue and rehabilitation stories during an all new Inspiring Stories pre-show.  This will take place before some of your favorite SeaWorld shows around the park, so get there early.  You’ll have opportunities to meet animal ambassadors up close, explore interactive education stations, and play games.  Additionally, enjoy hands-on experiences learning about various animals, and how we can make a difference in the protection of our wild world.

Wild Days provides a great opportunity for education through exploration and imagination.  It gets guests excited and connected with the natural world.  The more we are connected, the more we will want to make a difference.
